THE BRIEF

Bridport Place is an 11 storey new development in Hackney providing 32 high-quality new homes to the area. Due to the small site footprint, the developer and architect needed to maximise the number of homes provided while keeping these feeling modern and spacious.

Langley Design were approached by Henry Construction to provide external furniture to the communal rooftop area.

WHAT WE DID

Bespoke planters and benches

This is always a necessity in high rise developments where outdoor space is crucial while working in the limitations of a city centre project. We used our bespoke capabilities to design a range of timber planters and benches for the new residents to enjoy, maximising the seating and planting space to the small rooftop.

THE RESULT

Plinth mounted benches were chosen as these are resin bound directly to the finished surface and there is no need for fixing below the already installed decking and these provide seating for the residents to enjoy the view of the city.

We also provided our two tier cycle racks in the basement for the residents to store their bicycles in a secured area.
