Spreytonway, University of Exeter
The Spreytonway Student Accomodation complex was designed exclusively for The University of Exeter’s postgraduate students and featured 131 new ensuite bedrooms arranged in cluster flats, a central amenity facility with both social & study spaces and newly landscaped external areas. Located on the Streatham Campus, and part of the University’s commitment to easing pressure on the city accommodation market, Spreytonway is part of a wider student accommodation provision along with other residences at Moberly and East Park.
Langley Design worked closely with architect Wilmore Iles and the main contractor Vinci Construction from an early stage to provide solutions for the Cycle Store and Bin Store requirements. Manufacturing and installing our popular Sheldon Cycle Store SCS309, utilising structurally graded class 4 treated redwood, galvanised steelwork and a R32 profiled metal roof, we provided a secure enclosed space to house the Malford MCR205 two tier cycle rack, offering high density cycle storage in a space efficient footprint. Our simple, yet elegant and effective, SBS302 Bin Store delivers a space to locate the accommodations various waste streams whilst concealing these securely away from view.
Available in a variety of shapes and sizes, and designed to visually compliment our other Sheldon structures, the SCS309 and SBS302 can be specified in a range of materials and finished to suit an array of project budgets. Langley Design can also offer in-house advise and suggestions to best utilise the space you have to ensure you achieve the best possible solution for your needs.
