Seahaven Academy, Sussex
Farrans Construction recently carried out works for the new extension and refurbishment of the existing Seahaven Academy.
The works included provision of a new entrance area, administration suite, standard & ICT/multi-use classrooms, activity studio, replacement of the staff offices and finally increasing school capacity from 750 to 1050 pupils.
Langley Design worked with Farrans to provide cycle parking and seating solutions on the newly extended campus. Using our bespoke manufacturing capabilities we provided a range of benches to fit into the external areas with smaller units designed to fit 1-2 students and longer continuous runs which provide a more economical way of maximising seating space. Our Sheldon timber cycle shelter use the same materials as the benches to give a cohesive design to the newly landscaped space. For the cycle hoops and door barriers a powder coated finish was applied to match the exterior façade of the new building.
