Nantwich Leisure Centre, Cheshire
Langley Design were chosen by Equans to manufacture and install our Sheldon Sedum Roof Cycle shelter for the £1.3 million Nantwich Leisure Centre in Cheshire. By allowing covered storage the Leisure Centre users have an area to store their bikes securely, giving the users a workout before even setting foot in the gym. The combination of Timber and Sedum offers the development a lovely aesthetic, especially when compared to the traditional polycarbonate sheeting that so many bike stores have. Sedum Roof shelters also offer fantastic decarbonisation properties, the plants absorb carbon dioxide as well as other airborne particles and release oxygen into the air. The shelter provides an attractive storage solution whilst being more visually appealing than a traditional polycarbonate or profile metal roof when viewed from above within the building. Finally in addition we also provided galvanised and powder coated Sheffield cycle stands to offer visitors a secure locking point for their cycles.
