Castle Street, Leicester
Langley Design were delighted to be chosen by the now defunct NMCN Construction to provide a bespoke sized Sheldon Cycle
Store (SCS301) for the Castle Street development. This student accommodation scheme provided housing for students at the
Leicester and De Montfort Universities.
All our products are made to order at our Production Facility in Wiltshire and our flexible approach allows us to adapt our standard cycle shelter to fit snugly in between two new walls in the landscaped courtyards. NMCN also made use of our installation service which saw our own fully trained site operatives assemble and handover the cycle shelter to the project team.
By offering two tier cycle racks (Malford MCR205) in lieu of the more traditional sheffield stands we were able to fit in 64 secure cycle parking spaces underneath the covered area. Timber units are Langley Design’s speciality, and we believe they offer our clients a much softer aesthetic to their landscaped areas when compared with the harsher look of many of the steel units which are typically found across the UK. All our timber cycle stores come with full wind and snow loadings so structural suitability and a high quality finish is guaranteed alongside a visibly more attractive product.Download Project Case Study
