Boston Endeavour Academy, Lincolnshire
Langley Design worked with Wates on the brand new £13.2m Boston Endeavour Academy located in Lincolnshire. Boston Endeavour is a specialist school for pupils aged two to nineteen with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities. The new school includes 16 classrooms for up to 140 students, specialist teaching spaces for science, technology, ICT & art, and a large hall. It also offers additional benefits with a hydrotherapy pool, sensory & soft play rooms and dedicated therapy spaces. Outside, the pupils can enjoy the hard & soft-surfaced play zones, as well as a sensory garden and wildlife areas.
Langley Design’s extensive experience within the education environment saw us utilise our Sheldon canopy systems (SPG321 & SPG326) to provide covered outdoor space in a variety of sizes around the school building. Manufactured from PEFC sustainably sourced Treated Class 4 Redwood and installed by our skilled site teams these canopies provide extended teaching areas whilst also offering students shelter from the elements. Our canopies can be provided with post protectors to the leg columns and timber cloaking to the guttering downpipes to provide additional safety & welfare measure if required. Finally we supplied our classic Sheldon SCS302 Cycle Shelter, offering a double row of cycle parking this solution stores a high capacity of bikes in a compact area and compliments the style of the timber canopies located elsewhere on the school site.
