Bartholomew School, Oxfordshire
Bartholomew School is a mixed comprehensive school in Oxfordshire that offers an excellent and exciting educational environment for over 1300 students aged 11-18. As part of the Priority Schools Building Programme 2, the school underwent a £4million extension and refurbishment programme undertaken by Kier Construction. We were delighted to be chosen by Kier on this project to supply and install our own range of tensile canopies. These weatherproof structures are a great addition to the newly landscaped areas and they provide simple yet stylish cover for the children to enjoy the outdoors. They can double up as outdoor classrooms, or be used for outdoor dining. These canopies can come in a range of sizes however Bartholomew School opted for two of the 5m x 3m units and because of our bespoke manufacturing capabilities, we were also able to create a tensile canopy that was linked together as part of the same design. This allowed the school to have another unit that was 5m x 6m thus providing a larger covered area for the pupils to enjoy. Kier and the School had full design input into the structures and even chose the colours they wanted the galvanised metal work and tensile fabric to be in order to match the schools colour scheme.
