AECC University College, located in Bournemouth, is a renowned institution specializing in health sciences, chiropractic, and sports performance education. In partnership with Mildren Construction, the University has undergone further upgrades throughout the site to maintain a quality learning environment for it’s students.
Langley Design were delighted to once again work with Mildren Construction and was tasked with producing a solution for a walkway canopy to link 3 of the existing buildings. The area available was tight and sat in a courtyard between various ground finishes and close walls. Utilising our own in-house design team we were able to produce leg layouts to exactly match the existing site and seamlessly incorporate the walkways required. Treated Redwood timber was chosen for its natural look and ability to blend harmoniously with the campus environment, enhancing the overall aesthetics of the space while still providing a durable structure to last the university for years to come. Polycarbonate roofing was utilised to allow natural light into the area while still providing a hard-wearing structure. The successful completion of this project further solidifies Langley Design’s position as a market-leading provider of bespoke timber structures, accommodating even the most challenging external spaces.
