TREATED REDWOOD - TRC4
For maximum durability, or where the timber comes into contact with the ground, the European Redwood timbers are given a Class 4 treatment. Perfect for planters which hold damp soil. The standard untreated European Redwood timber is strong and moderately hard for its weight and takes the Class 4 treatment well, providing a reliable treated timber. All the European Redwood we provide is PEFC certified.
DOUGLAS FIR - DF
Compared with European Redwood, Douglas Fir is slightly harder, stiffer and stronger along the grain. The high resin content of this timber means it is hard to treat but provides a natural protection for sustained durability. The great benefit of this timber type is the stunning grain contrast, giving timber slats and sections a real visual impact. All the Douglas Fir we provide is PEFC certified.
Hardwood Iroko - HI
Hardwood Iroko timber provides excellent strength properties comparing well with teak and other hardwood timbers, perfect for use for street furniture in the external environment. The Hardwood Iroko timber is coated with an OSMO UV protection oil to help feed the timber and bring out the dark colour and grain patterns. All the hardwood we provide is FSC certified.
