Health and safety, quality and environmental impact are of major importance to us. We have the necessary controls and processes in place to enable us to deliver consistent good quality products in a safe, cost-effective and professional way.
Langley Design accreditations include:
Achilles - BuildingConfidence
We recently achieved the Achilles BuildingConfidence accreditation. The Standard is recognised by many main contractors because of the increasing pressures to conduct a more consistent and robust accreditation process across their supply chains. The Standard includes a wide range of strict criteria significant to health, safety and environmental practices along with key areas of legislation including CDM Regulations, Corporate Manslaughter Act, Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility criteria, Immigration Laws, the Bribery and Corruption Act and an increased focus on the financial stability of sub-contractors.

ISO9001 Quality Management System
At Langley Design, we are totally committed to operating our Quality Management System to the requirements of the ISO9001 Quality Standard and have held BSI accreditation since 2010. We are proud of the fact that we maintained our accreditation in 2016 which demonstrates the robustness of our systems, controls and our positive approach to continual improvement.
We chose BSI as our accrediting body because of its reputation as the most well-known and widely respected in its field.
(Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme)
Health and safety is of paramount importance to running our business. At Langley Design, we are careful to ensure we operate in a safe manner and that all our employees and visitors are not endangered in any way. Although we do not undertake groundworks, our health and safety systems and procedures vetted by CHAS are an important part of what we do onsite.

We are a member of TRADA (Timber Research Development Association), giving us access to good technical information and ensuring we keep up to date with all new issues and developments. As a member of TRADA, and as a responsible company, we ensure that we always source our timber from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) registered suppliers for Hardwood and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) for Softwood.
